Abstract
► Micropolar and cavitating effects are studied in dynamically loaded journal bearing. ► Average inflow and outflow are almost equal under the improved cavitation algorithm. ► Reynolds boundary conditions result in large difference in inflow and outflow. ► Micropolar fluids lubrication enhances bearing load capacity.
