Abstract
⺠The optimum mass ratio of Cu NPs to SPs as oil additive was obtained. ⺠The experimental results indicate that Cu NPs can act as a promoter of SPs as oil additive. ⺠The synergistic mechanism for reducing friction and wear of the optimum mixture was discussed.
