Abstract
⺠Chromite and magnetite were compared as erodents, on two coatings and one alloy. ⺠A small difference in erosion rate was observed for the NiCr alloy at 30° impact for the two erodents. ⺠At 90° impact a significant difference in erosion rates was observed between the two erodents. ⺠There was an order of magnitude increase in the erosion rate of the CrC coatings when using chromite.
