Abstract
⺠We develop a test method for friction measurement of sheet metal at high pressure. ⺠The impact friction test method mimics vehicle crash loading condition. ⺠Friction properties of high-strength steel depend on pressure and velocity. ⺠High steel is plastically deformed in 10-55 MPa static friction tests. ⺠For impact friction tests, friction decreases at 10 MPa, yet increases at 40 MPa.
