Abstract
⺠Dry sliding wear behavior of pearlitic and bainitic steel was performed. ⺠Two different phases were formed from same steel with appropriate heat treatment. ⺠Detailed quantitative microscopy and other mechanical testing were carried out. ⺠Bainite proved to be better wear resistant with better other mechanical properties. ⺠Bainite showed one order of magnitude less wear volume loss than pearlite.
