Abstract
⺠Lower austenite content increases wear performance in austempered high-silicon steel. ⺠Longer test times cause an increase in wear rate. ⺠The microstructure is deformed and oriented in the sliding direction. ⺠Rolling contact fatigue racking occurs along the oriented microstructure.
