Abstract
⺠Pattern abrasion is a rare wear mechanism for plastic. ⺠Unusual wavelike abrasion patterns are formed on the worn surfaces of UHMWPE. ⺠Formation of abrasion pattern originates from the microstructure reconstruction. ⺠Wear-resistance of rubbed surface is enhanced due to microstructure transformation.
