Abstract
⺠Workpiece material adhered onto both the rake and flank faces. ⺠Tool surfaces were protected from the scrubbing action of hard carbide particles. ⺠Adhering layer experienced a periodic “formation-stacking-plucking” process. ⺠The element from tool material diffused into the workpiece material. ⺠Adhering layer accelerated the diffusion wear process.
