Abstract
⺠Erosion-corrosion assessment of two WC-based PTAW overlays was conducted. ⺠The cast tungsten carbide was shown to exhibit extensive dissolution. ⺠Damage mechanisms for both overlays were formulated and highlighted the influence of carbide dissolution. ⺠Erosion-corrosion assessment also highlighted the very large influence of synergy.
