Abstract
⺠Scouring erosion tests on metals, cermets and elastomershave been conducted. ⺠The importance of selecting an appropriate erosive was highlighted. ⺠Natural rubbers showed high erosion resistance due to their capacity for elastic recovery. ⺠Material removal for elastomers was primarily by microcutting and microscratching.
