Abstract
â¶ Occurrence of the flaking damage and its relationship with the wear of rail under oil lubrication operation was investigated. â¶ The occurrence rate of the flaking damage was high at gauge corner side of high rail in moderate curves. â¶ The balance between the wear and the accumulation of micro-strain or fatigue was a key to occur the flaking damage.
