Abstract
ⶠA new wheel-rail contact model for multibody railway applications is presented. ⶠThe model is directly based on the Navier's elasticity equation. ⶠThe model does not consider simplifying hypotheses like the non-conformal contact. ⶠThe model can be implemented directly online within the multibody vehicle model. ⶠNumerical simulations have been performed to validate the new contact model.
