Abstract
► HPV16-negativity and extravaginal recurrence were significant poor prognostic factors in patients who recurred after primary radical hysterectomy. ► Future trials for recurrent cervical cancer could be stratified for these two prognostic factors with further external validation. ► Multimodal salvage therapy has lead to improved survival after recurrence for those with non-squamous histology or pelvic node metastasis.
