Abstract
ⶠNanodiamond particles have a better dispersive capability and a higher viscosity in the base oil than commercial oil. ⶠThere are optimal concentrations using nanodiamond particles as an antiwear additive in the base oil. ⶠNanodiamond particles as a solid additive in oil lubricants improve the tribological behavior of carbon steel as well as that of aluminum alloy. However, their wear mechanisms are different.
