Abstract
ⶠWear properties of Tribaloy 400C was investigated in a bespoke bearing rig at 600 °C. ⶠStable wear protective oxide films often referred to as 'glazes' were formed. ⶠSix stages were identified in the formation of the 'glazes'. ⶠDuring the formation of the 'glazes' discrete oxide films were formed within them. ⶠEventually the 'glazes' were composed of a uniform distribution of oxides.
