Abstract
The experiments have shown considerable dependency of TiCN tribological parameters on temperature. Rise in temperature increased both friction coefficient and the wear rate of the coating in case of 100Cr6 balls. The main wear mechanism was a mild wear at temperatures up to 200 °C; fracture and delamination were dominating wear mechanisms at temperatures from 300 to 500 °C.
