Abstract

•Muscle activity during curved walking was investigated in typically developing children.•A comprehensive assessment with several angles of turn, to both sides, was performed.•The largest adaptations occurred in the thigh of the inner limb and in the shank of the outer limb.•Asymmetry between right and left turns was observed for some parameters.
