Psychometric properties of the rass scale in the Serbian population

•The aim was to evaluate the Risk Assessment Suicidality Scale in Serbia population.•The sample included healthy adults, persons with mental disorders, suicide attempters.•Factors extracted: Intention & planning, Life evaluation, History of suicide attempts.•The Serbian version of the RASS scale indicated good psychometric properties.•The scale was shown to be sensitive for detecting suicidal tendencies.
