Abstract
⺠New SWRO pretreatment unit to treat high turbidity seawater was evaluated. ⺠The pretreatment unit consists of double stage fiber filter and ultrafiltration. ⺠Effluent of the fiber filter never exceeded 3 NTU even at feed turbidity of 50 NTU. ⺠The final effluent SDI15 of the pretreatment unit was always less than 3.0. ⺠RO unit operated with the pretreatment unit showed stable performance.
