Abstract
⺠Nitric acid as catholyte's pH conditioner. ⺠Precipitation of Cd at the cathode chamber. ⺠Cd desorption 98% and precipitation 63% at cathode chamber viable at 0.06 M HNO3. ⺠Limiting the amount of HNO3 also reduces energy consumption.
