Abstract
⺠Saxitoxins, domoic acid, and okadaic acid were removed 99% by RO or distillation. ⺠Some carry-over of brevetoxins occurred on distillation. ⺠Risk assessment indicated minimal health hazard from toxic algal blooms. ⺠Hypochlorite was an effective treatment to detoxify, except for brevetoxins.
