Abstract
► Development of a CFD model describing hydrodynamics and mass transfer inside a membrane capillary. ► Modelling of arbitrary laminar suspension flow fields in capillaries of arbitrary geometry, alignment and operational mode. ► Determination of areas of preferential deposition for spherical, solid or porous particles/flocs of arbitrary size. ► Deposition of flocs and particles along the membrane surface will be classed by size. ► Modelling of the fouling layer formation during operation.
