Abstract
⺠Development of a CFD model describing hydrodynamics and mass transfer inside a membrane capillary. ⺠Modelling of arbitrary laminar suspension flow fields in capillaries of arbitrary geometry, alignment and operational mode. ⺠Determination of areas of preferential deposition for spherical, solid or porous particles/flocs of arbitrary size. ⺠Deposition of flocs and particles along the membrane surface will be classed by size. ⺠Modelling of the fouling layer formation during operation.
