Abstract
⺠Sweeping gas membrane distillation process was modeled and optimized by response surface methodology. ⺠Interaction effects exist between sweeping gas membrane distillation parameters. ⺠The optimal operating conditions were confirmed experimentally. ⺠Distilled water was produced by sweeping gas membrane distillation of salt aqueous solution and Mediterranean seawater.
