Abstract
⺠A multi-stage solar desalination system is developed using latent heat recovery. ⺠A transient model is proposed for the solar desalination system. ⺠The various design and operating parameters of desalination are studied. ⺠The distillate yield decreases with increase in salinity of the water. ⺠The proposed desalination system is a viable option for rural and urban communities.
