Abstract
⺠A hybrid system using zeolite and A. viscosus was investigated to treat effluents. ⺠Optimised conditions in the treatment of Azure B and Cr(VI) were analysed. ⺠Removal of Azure B by the zeolite was studied using equilibrium isotherms and kinetics. ⺠The presence of the bacteria facilitates the reduction of Cr (VI) to Cr(III). ⺠Removal higher than 50% for Cr (VI) and 99% for Azure B were obtained.
