Abstract
⺠Cationized agaroses were synthesized and characterized. ⺠Their flocculation performance was evaluated for the first time. ⺠Flocculation performances were comparable to commercial polyacrylamides. ⺠The best performing sample would flocculate mainly through bridge formation. ⺠Cationized agaroses may constitute promising flocculants for water treatment.
