Abstract
⺠The potential of electrocoagulation was examined to eliminate TPH from contaminated groundwater. ⺠The maximum TPH removal achieved using St-Fe as the anode-cathode electrode arrangement at a neutral pH. ⺠95.1% of TPH was removed during the batch process at a current density of 18 mA/cm2. ⺠Increasing the HRT from 10 to 60 min during the continuous electrocoagulation increased TPH removal from 67.2 to 93.4%.
