Abstract
⺠Affinity of Cd2+ ions follows the trend coated oxide > Fe(OH)3 > silica. ⺠Surface area of coated oxide decreases while uptake of Cd2+ ions. ⺠Ligand like surface ternary complexes are formed on the surface of coated oxide.
