Abstract
►Phenolic compounds in the presence of a dye were removed using H2O2 and excilamps. ►The presence of dye has not a significant influence on phenolic compounds removal. ►Dye degradation decreases when increasing the concentrations of phenolic compounds. ►Methyl green removal improves at higher H2O2 : phenolic compounds molar ratios. ►Pseudo-first and pseudo-second order kinetic models were successfully applied.
