Abstract
Two industrial seawater reverse osmosis plants based on FilmTec SW30HR-380 spiral-wound membrane modules were simulated and their performance was investigated. The model was found to represent the plant with good accuracy; the relative errors in the overall water recovery and salt rejection were 10.03% and 0.03% respectively for the first industrial plant and 3.1% and 0.07% respectively for the second one. The influence of operating parameters such as operating pressure and feed flow rate on the performance of the plant were studied.
