Abstract
⺠Dopamine induces endosomal translocation of APP in Neuro2A neuroblastoma cells. ⺠Dopamine promotes amyloidogenic processing of APP within endosomes. ⺠Amyloidogenic processing of APP eventually causes lysosome leakage and apoptosis. ⺠Pepstatin A and chloroquine inhibit dopamine-induced processing of APP. ⺠Pepstatin A and chloroquine prevent apoptosis induced by dopamine.
