Abstract
► We determine effects of letter-sound matching training on reading-related skills in preschool children at risk for dyslexia. ► The 3-hour intervention improves both reading-related skills and enhances mismatch negativity for phonetic changes. ► Even a short intervention may improve skills needed for reading acquisition and cause plastic neural changes.
