Abstract
⺠A specific high affinity anti-NRG 1 (III) antibody was raised in chickens. ⺠Robust axonal immunostaining was observed in the PNS. ⺠NRG 1 (III) immunostaining was absent in CNS axons. ⺠NRG 1 (III) immunostaining was restricted to dendrites and neuronal soma. ⺠Role of NRG 1 (III) in CNS myelination may be more indirect than in PNS.
