Abstract
► We developed a new experimental model of bipedal locomotion in non-human primate in restrained condition. ► Gait kinematic and biomechanic analysis showed great similarities with freely bipedal primate and human gait. ► Micro electrode recordings in deep cerebral structures could be performed repetitively during locomotion. ► This model will allow to investigate physiological networks involved in primate bipedal locomotion. ► A better understanding of gait disorders and treatment assessment could be considered.
