Abstract
⺠We developed a new experimental model of bipedal locomotion in non-human primate in restrained condition. ⺠Gait kinematic and biomechanic analysis showed great similarities with freely bipedal primate and human gait. ⺠Micro electrode recordings in deep cerebral structures could be performed repetitively during locomotion. ⺠This model will allow to investigate physiological networks involved in primate bipedal locomotion. ⺠A better understanding of gait disorders and treatment assessment could be considered.
