Abstract
⺠Triphasic pulses allow direct recording of recovery functions without further artifact subtraction. ⺠The use of triphasic pulses is feasible for forward masking in the recording of recovery functions. Nevertheless, phase amplitude ratio (PAR) of the triphasic pulse will most probably have to be adjusted individually to properly reduce artifacts. ⺠As a starting point, masker and probe phase amplitude ratio should be set equal to achieve an effective masking. ⺠Electrode profiles showed similarities between stimulation with triphasic pulse pattern and with artifact reduction according to Miller et al. (2000) in the fitting parameters “Asymptote Level A”, “Threshold T0”, and “Time Constant Ï”.
