Abstract
⺠ERα activation increases progesterone receptor expression in VMNvl neurons. ⺠ERβ activation does not modify progesterone receptor expression in VMNvl neurons. ⺠ERβ activation decreases ERα ability to induce PR synthesis in VMNvl neurons. ⺠The estrogen induction of PRs in the VMNvl is not mediated solely by ERα activation. ⺠The estrogen induction of PRs in the VMNvl might involve non-genomic mechanisms.
