Abstract
► A novel neurodevelopmental animal model of schizophrenia is presented. ► Developmental kynurenine treatment results in elevated KYNA levels into adulthood. ► Adults with elevated KYNA levels during development exhibit deficits in cognitive flexibility. ► These cognitive deficits are ameliorated by acute treatment with galantamine.
