Abstract
⺠Creatine produced a protective effect against 6-hydroxydopamine-induced cell death. ⺠The protective effect of creatine involves PI3K/AKT, PKA and PKC. ⺠ERK1/2 and CaMKII modulation is implicated in the protective effect of creatine. ⺠Creatine reversed the decline in GSK-3β phosphorylation induced by 6-OHDA. ⺠Creatine could be a potent protective factor for catecholaminergic cell survival.
