Abstract
⺠hCVCs and hAFCs contain stem/progenitor cells from different tissue districts. ⺠Foetal cells release multiple and specific neuro/angio-trophic cytokines. ⺠Foetal cell-conditioned media support cell metabolism after 6-OHDA treatment. ⺠Foetal cells appear a promising stem source for cell therapy in neurodegeneration. ⺠hCVCs and hAFCs could be differentially employed on the basis of the disease features.
