Abstract
⺠5-HT2C receptor immunoreactivity was investigated in sacral spinalized rats at seven time points. ⺠After 14-day injury the 5-HT2C receptor started to upregulate in the spinal cord gray matter. ⺠5-HT2C receptor in motoneurons is significantly upregulated at 45 days after spinal cord injury. ⺠The time course of 5-HT2C receptor upregulation is positively correlated with the development of rat tail muscle spasm.
