Abstract
⺠We examined cholinergic effects on medium spiny neurons in nucleus accumbens shell. ⺠Carbachol depolarized resting membrane potential and increased input resistance. ⺠Carbachol suppressed slowly depolarizing potential and increased rheobase. ⺠Cholinergic neuronal stimulation also suppressed slowly depolarizing potential.
