Abstract
⺠Quercetin is a potential mitochondrial stimulant and up-regulates complex-I activity. ⺠Quercetin protects against rotenone-induced PCD of dopaminergic neurons. ⺠Quercetin acts as a potent hydroxyl radical scavenger in mitochondria. ⺠Quercetin reverses rotenone-induced glutathione loss in the nigra. ⺠Quercetin attenuates amphetamine-induced rotations in experimental PD.
