Abstract
⺠PARP is activated in the HNC model of AE. ⺠Inhibition of PARP activity protects epileptic hippocampal neurons from caspase-independent apoptosis in the HNC model of AE. ⺠Inhibition of PARP activity promotes the phosphorylation of Akt and GSK3β. ⺠Inhibition of PARP activity suppresses mitochondria-nucleus translation of AIF mediated by PI-3K/Akt pathway.
