Abstract
⺠Humans made vertical squat jumps from initial postures differing in trunk inclination. ⺠They adjusted primarily the onset of rectus femoris activity to initial posture. ⺠Optimal stimulation onsets were found for jumps of a model from each initial posture. ⺠Solutions for the model also differed primarily in stimulation onset of rectus femoris. ⺠A mapping from initial posture to stimulation onsets yielded near-maximal model jumps.
