Abstract
⺠Pharmacologically and genetically induced NMDAR hypofunction was assessed in rats and mice. ⺠MK-801 reduced both spontaneous and elicited hippocampal theta power. ⺠Grin1 mice showed similar neurophysiological abnormalities to MK-801-treated mice. ⺠AMPA-PAM improved both in pharmacological and genetic NMDA hypofunction models. ⺠Models proposed for glutamate-targeting drug candidate evaluation.
