Abstract
⺠EAAT3 knockout mice have hippocampus-dependent and -independent cognitive impairment. ⺠EAAT3 knockout decreases glutathione levels and increases oxidative stress in many brain regions. ⺠N-acetylcysteine reverses the existing cognitive and biochemical impairment in EAAT3 knockout mice.
