Abstract
⺠We assessed the effect of HDAC inhibitor-VPA on post-stroke recovery. ⺠The administration of VPA starting 24 h after stroke improved neurological outcome. ⺠The VPA treatment enhances white matter repair and neurogenesis after stroke. ⺠The upregulation of GLT-1 by VPA may lead to increased oligodendrocyte survival.
