Abstract
⺠Inhibition of mTOR by rapamycin increases seizure susceptibility to pilocarpine in immature rats, but not in mature rats. ⺠Rapamycin down-regulates KCC2 expression in the thalamus and hippocampus. ⺠Inhibition of thalamic mTOR and KCC2 increases seizure susceptibility to pilocarpine.
