Abstract
⺠The main targets of the central medial of thalamus (CM) are the cortex, striatum and the amygdala. ⺠There are distinct differences in the projections from the rostral and caudal central medial nucleus. ⺠CM may serve to integrate affective, cognitive and sensorimotor functions for goal-directed behavior.
