Abstract

âº The main targets of the central medial of thalamus (CM) are the cortex, striatum and the amygdala. âº There are distinct differences in the projections from the rostral and caudal central medial nucleus. âº CM may serve to integrate affective, cognitive and sensorimotor functions for goal-directed behavior.
