Abstract
⺠Overexpression of PrPC prevents Aβ1-40-induced spatial learning and memory deficits. ⺠Overexpression of PrPC prevents Aβ1-40-induced hippocampal cell damage. ⺠PrPC inhibits programed cell death mechanisms activated by Aβ1-40 peptide in vivo.
